This issue of the Chimes is dedicated to Mrs. Maude Kilbourne, Miss "K", the Secretary to the College Dean. Governor Weatherby congratulated Berea College on its 100th year. The international students in the senior class of the College this year were: Theo. Ade Aderonmu from Oya, Nigeria, West Africa, Cheng-Yin Cheng from Hsinchu, China, Samuel Sek-Wai Hung from Hong Kong, China, John Y. Lu from Taipei, Formosa, and A. A. Moeter from Puri Agung, Indonesia. The new clubs included this year were the TKA, the Geology Club, Beta Beta Beta, the FTA, the Opera Workshop, and the Music Educators National Conference. Charles Ward Seabury was noted as the "Father of Seabury Gym".
