description:
Letter to Rev. John G. Fee from George Whipple; Whipple sends this letter as a representative of the American Missionary Association to present several matters to Fee. The first is his confusion about Fee's statement in a previous letter concerning the Oberlin Creed. The second concerns rumors Whipple and others have heard about non-evangelical members being accepted into the Church of Berea. Whipple notes he has full confidence that this would not be the case, but, if it is true, he and his representatives cannot give funds to Berea any longer. He asks that Fee send undeniable proof that this is not true. Lastly, he asks Fee to appoint an officer of the American Missionary Association as a trustee, and suggests Rev. E. M. Cravath.
