Final Instructions; rules; and schedules for the Montgomery Trip TIME SCHEDULE: 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 WE WILL ALL ASSEMBLE AT UNION CHURCH (Please eat early and be ready to leave at 5:15 SHARP) 7:00-9:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25 We will arrive in Montgomery, Ala. 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 25 We will rendezvous with Dr. King and marchers. 9:30 a.m. " " March to Capitol Building 6:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25 We will leave Montgomery. 7:00-8:00 a.m. Friday, March 26 We will arrive at Berea. RULES: Please follow all rules "To the letter" Permission . . . . You must have all permission cleared by EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING ! ! ! Your names will be double-checked with the deans before departure. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBIITTY. MEN . . . Please SHAVE as close to departure time((5:l5) as possible. Take electric razors only (We shall share razors) You must have your Selective Service card and your Dfiver‘s license (if you have one) on you at all times. Wear school clothes or "Better". (No blue jeans or shorts!) WOMEN . . . Wear comfortable "marching" shoes. Wear school clothes (No slacks or bermuda shorts!) EVERYONE . . . Dress warmly Bring raincoat and rain hat of some sort. (NO UMBRELLAS!) Bring small overnight case for essentials. NOTHING MORE toothpaste towel personal articles toothbrush soap wash cloth Extra clothing must be limited. Bring only a small amount of cash ($5-$7.00) Do Not bring salty foods. (Fruit is advisable) DO NOT BRING ANYTHING WHICH MGHT BE CONSTRUED AS A WEAPON (No knives, beer can openers, nail files, hand razors) DEPARTURE ..... There will be a brief Service at Union Church at 5:15pm just before we depart. Please be READY T0 GO by then. NON-VIOLENCE ... Traditional procedure for non-violent demonstrations will be observed. Detailed instructions on the NON-VIOLENT METHOD will be given to you before we leave. CARS .......... Only designated persons will be riding in cars. All others will be on the bus. There will be no changes.
