description:
Transcript: December 2, 1946 Mr. Harold H. Johnston 75 Fulton Street, New York, N. Y. Dear Harold: In writing you to help celebrate the forty-fifth anniversary of your joining my, then, infant outfit, I have in mind not only your efficient and loyal services, but also that you are the oldest friend I have on earth. When a friend- ship can continue for over sixty years without one single dispute, or even argument, that certainly is something to chortle about. So this letter is written with deep appreciation of your fine qualities and unfailing loyalty, both as a member of our staff, and as a personal friend. With real affection, I am, Very sincerely, (signed) Alfred M. Best. President.
