Transcript: Chicago, Ill., June 19, 1908 Pres. W. G. Frost, Ph.D., Berea College, Berea, KY Dear Sir: I have the honor to say that I am making the effort of my life to get one of the two important positions in the St. Louis Public Schools. Both the Principal and the Assistant Principal have resigned. One of these positions pay about $3000.00 and the other not much less. I need not say that there are many applicants. Now, if there is anything which you can do to help me on, please do it at once. I bear in mind that I have a testimonial from you. I am thinking that you are personally known to Mr. Blewett, the superin- tendent, or to some of the authorities there. I have the support of the University of Chicago and all the boards of education and superintendents whom I have served. Yours with many thanks, C G Woodson, 107 Middle Divinity Hall, Univ. of Chicago, Chic. Ill.
