description:
Transcript: President Frost, of Berea College, Kentucky, seems to be sort a nemesis of the new Berea. He insists that it must be a normal and an industrial school, not a college. One publication of the state is surprised at the little interest the colored people are taking in the matter. Perhaps there's nothing to do about it. If the school is furnished on conditions, then the conditions are to be met. If the new Berea is independent of State sup- port and other support not coupled with conditions, what Mr. Frost says will not avail anything. People can get what they can pay for in this country, as the rule.
